A family firm with a tradition of almost 200 years

A company of entrepreneurs

Our corporate strategy is based on strong basic business principles to which Zertus GmbH and all subsidiaries are committed. Even when we continue to grow, the virtues of medium-sized companies remain crucial success factors for us. Examples of these include entrepreneurial courage, flat hierarchies, innovative force, flexibility and cost awareness.

A strong group

Zertus is one of the oldest family businesses in Germany. Even today, as an internationally operating group of companies we continue to base our dealings with all stakeholders on family values and respect. In addition to this, Zertus-Holding encourages and coordinates a reciprocal transfer of know-how between the subsidiaries.

A sense of responsibility for sustainable success

The subsidiaries are independently responsible for their operating business and thus have a high degree of freedom in their decisions and actions. This standard also applies to every individual employee. A lean holding company, decentralized responsibility and flat hierarchies facilitate a high level of innovative force and secure success in the long term.

Zertus-Holding supports the subsidiaries in administrative functions such as finance, insurance, IT and brand law while also answering all questions are related to the preparation of accounts and tax legislation. This enables subsidiaries to fully concentrate on their core operating business and develop their specific know-how in full.

Our commitment to sustainability

By its way of thinking Zertus links the generations and acts sustainably in economic, ecological and social issues.

It supports the subsidiaries in their efforts to achieve a sustainable design for their production processes. Kalfany Süße Werbung, for example, produces in a manner that protects resources and saves energy, with a modern photovoltaic plant supporting this approach.

The foundation

As a family business with a tradition of almost 200 years, Zertus GmbH feels committed to the following generations. The Hugo Meyer-Nachfahren-Stiftung supports training and educational projects in the locations of the subsidiaries and in Tangermünde, where the company was founded.
